PROPELLED BOOM LIFT - LEGUAN 160
The new self
propelled boom lift Leguan 160 with
15,9 m working height
and 6,65 m outreach is a completely new machine and different from the
familiar Leguan 125 series. However, the four wheel drive system is the
same as earlier - based on Avant Tecno’s skid steer loaders – thanks to
which the all terrain capabilities of the Leguan 160 are excellent.
Leguan 160 is
available either with four wheel drive or as a heavy duty
crawler.
The modern,
strong boom construction consists of three
booms. The upper boom is equipped with a telescope; in addition there
is a jib boom. Platform rotation is standard feature as well.
Thanks to the
three boom design working close to walls is very easy.
Distance between the platform and the wall remains almost the same when
lower booms are being raised or lowered.
The booms are
very strong and solid and precise to operate thanks to
direct hydraulic controls. All boom movements are stepless and can be
operated simultaneously.

SAFE WORKING
LOAD 200 KG WITHIN THE
COMPLETE WORK ENVELOPE!
Special
attention has been paid to safety issues. One of the most
important things is the fact that there is a continous platform load
control which is independent from the position of the booms.
Safe working
load is 200 kg throughout the work envelope – including
the envelope of the jib boom. The operator doesn’t have to think about
how far the booms can be extended – the booms can freely and safely be
operated to their max. outreach. There are no limit switches whatsoever
on the booms.

TWO
PROPELLING SYSTEMS
Leguan 160 is propelled with a combustion engine or with a 230V
electric motor, or both. There are two combustion engine options
availabe: the 2 cylinder water cooled 14 hp Kubota diesel engine or the
13 hp Honda petrol engine with electric choke. Starting, stopping and
adjusting engine revs can be done at the platform.
The new Leguan 160 is very compact in dimensions. It is still wide
enough to cope with rough terrains. Machine width is 1,3 m and length
slightly under 5 m. Total machine height is under 2 m.
The weight of the Leguan 160 is 2000 – 2300 kg, depending on
equipment, which means it can be transported on a trailer.
Leguan 160 equipped with four wheel drive is a perfect machine for both
indoor and outdoor use. It is a versatile all round lift for a
multitude of jobs.
Rubber tracks are the right solution for situations where the machine
moves mostly on soft grounds; on sand, in the forest or in snow.
The versatile Leguan 160 can be adapted to suit the various customer
needs and working conditions. |
